Tyler, the Creator has won the Best Rap Album award at the 2022 Grammys for
Call Me If You Get Lost. He scored his second win in the category (following Igor in 2020) ahead of fellow nominees Nas (King’s Disease II ), J. Cole ( The Off-Season), Kanye West (Donda ). (Drake
pulled out of the category, withdrawing
Certified Lover Boy from consideration in December 2021.)

Tyler posted his acceptance speech via an Instagram story following his win. “First off, I’m hyped,” he said. “Thank you to DJ Drama. You are fucking so important to rap music… Thank you to all of my friends for being my cheerleaders.” He also thanked his team for letting him “make an album where I can just flex all goddamn day.”

He added: “I know you’re seething and angry and, ‘argh, no one listens to that album.’ These arena tours that are selling out says different. And if you put that much energy into something maybe everyone will be proud of you, too.” Find his full acceptance speech below.

Tyler, the Creator was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance this year (for “WusYaName”), but the award ultimately went to Kanye West for “Hurricane.”
