Spanish second division club side, SD Huesca has terminated
the contract of Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali.

Huesca made the announcement on Tuesday April 5, stating
they have decided to end their relationship with the 23-year-
old.

The Spanish side did not give a reason for the termination, but
it was reported that the two parties have been at loggerheads
for a while.

Huesca fined the former Golden Eaglets captain after he
returned late from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nwakali featured for Nigeria at the 2021 African Cup of
Nations and his contract with the La Liga Smartbank team
was expected to end at the end of the current season.

This guy and his brother, Kelechi are just fading away like fart.

I remember the Nwakali brothers (Kelechi and Chidiebere) vividly at the U17 tournaments where the were so very outstanding that Manchester City signed the eldest and Arsenal FC of England signed the younger brother. From one loan to another until they were discarded and snapped up by small clubs.

Who could remember that this Kelechi guy captained the team having Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze that conquered the world? He even won the golden ball in the tournament ahead of Osimhen.
Who could believe that his elder brother, Chidiebere played with Kelechi Iheanacho and Taiwo Awoniyi to win the U17 World Cup?

Though a bad publicity for him but the contract termination is good for Kelechi Nwakali's career. Going to Huesca didn't work out as planned. Yes, he will lose income but it will help him RESET and RESTART his professional career. Kelechi is baller, no doubt.

Amaju Pinnick/Austin Eguavoen did him a favor by inviting him for AFCON because being an international is an added advantage in his search for a new club. I pray that God direct him to that club in which he will flourish to attract the attention bigger clubs.
