Nepotism leads to incompetence because the more qualified person is denied the position in favor of a relation or tribesman.

The gross incompetence demonstrated by Buhari's government is directly related to Nepotism and appointment of only northerners into leadership positions.

The worst problem is that the dominance of the northern hegemony in power does not help northerners because it is difficult to hold your unqualified brother accountable for something he was not qualified for. He got it simply because he was a muslem from the north and nothing more.

The result is that very qualified and brilliant northerners without 'connection' are denied opportunity to contribute to national development and to the development of the north.

Despite Buhari's lopsided appointments in favour of the northern Muslim Fulani, there is more poverty, insecurity and suffering in the north than anywhere else. And the nepotic appointees lack ideas and skills to solve the problems of their own people, talk more of the whole country.

Nepotism is corruption that is worst than the worst form of corruption because it affects everything else, negatively.

A very foolish talk from someone who probably is educated. Whether he voted for Buhari or not, he is the Nigerian President. The oath of office he took is to be the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria and to be fair to all her citizen. Whether your zone voted for him or not, it is inconsequential, for we all have the freedom of vote and to be voted for. Why not elevate her as substantive Minister of Environment? Instead you are elevating another Minister of State of the same rank with Sharon and redeploying him to head Sharon who has been in Environment for years and probably now understands the Ministry better. This is so sad.
