Which Of These 7 Regular Habits Keep Crippling Your Business? by Robinrul(m): 4:22pm On Apr 07, 2022
Failed businesses are always forgettable and have no real excitement or brand.
They all make the same mistakes, have same bad habits and sometimes suffer the same setbacks.
These habits are what you must avoid in your business if you ever want to make more money.
Before I continue… Do well to like and share this post to help others learn too.
Done?... Great, lets dive into it

1. SMALL MARKETS:
Finding a good niche market is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, that is how the most successful businesses establish themselves in the marketplace.
The problem arises when you concentrate on a very tiny market niche with little growth prospects.
Local shop proprietors, mechanics, clothing stores, and shoe stores, are examples.

2. PEDESTRIAN CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Poor customer service is typically the outcome of pedestrian customer service.
You get overwhelmed with so many details that you forget or don't have time to attend to your clients if you have weak systems in place and no room for leverage.

3. FOLLOWING OR COPYING THE LEADERS AT ALL TIMES:

Your company lacks comprehending features and so fails to stand apart.
Instead, you merely respond to your competitor's actions, never innovating or taking the initiative yourself.

4. POOR MARKETING:

The worst marketing strategy is to open your store early in the morning and hope customers come in.
You don't have the funds or the expertise to expand your marketing. In truth, marketing is a term you've never given any thought to how it can benefit you.
It always astounds me, especially when I see it with bookstores. The owners have access to some of the world's best business books, but guess what?
They don't even bother to read them. It's like walking into a gym and discovering the owner or instructor is severely out of shape and in horrible health... It simply does not add up..

5. YOU DON’T BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, TOU JUST DO TRANSACTIONS:
How would you feel if you purchased a new phone and then received a call three months later from your phone dealer asking if everything was okay and whether you were enjoying your new phone?
Isn't it true that you'll be completely taken aback?
Like, astonished...
Regrettably, this never occurs. They aren't interested in forming bonds with others. The salespeople are only concerned with their commissions, closing the purchase, and moving on.
The salesperson who sold you the phone doesn't care if you want a new one in 2-4 years and would return if a relationship had been established, because by then he or she has already left the dealership and is selling something else as a one-time transaction.

6. POOR SYSTEM:
Because you have poor or no procedures in place to handle your business's processes, your business generates no value for you.
Running and operating such a business becomes significantly more time demanding and thus costly as a result of this.
To keep the business alive, you must literally invest your time, energy, and money.
You should ask yourself, "How long will I be able to devote this much time, energy, and money to this business?"
The sooner you accept this reality, the faster your company will grow.

7. HARD SELL OR NO SELL:
Finally in low-value businesses, there may be a hard sell or no sell strategy.
Because low value businesses have no great competitive advantage, they usually need to employ such tactics.
They try to sell quickly but if this doesn’t work, they then ignore the customer.
These tactics are used by short term thinking people who are desperate to make a sale.
Alternatively, they may just play the numbers game, not bothering to sell at all, just waiting for a customer to buy simply because of the cheapest price or offer.

CONCLUSION
I’m sure many of us have experienced all or some of these low value business habits.
Every time you are out shopping or come in contact with these sort of businesses. You will be able to immediately identify one or more of the habits for yourself.
Keep a look out as they are not hard to spot, and when you see them, consider how much business they’re leaving on the table by continuing with these habits and what it might be costing them in sales… and in building value into their businesses.

Do have a blissful business day ahead of you champ.

Warm regards
Paulinus
