Conjoined twins may also share one or more internal organs. They are symmetric conjoined twins with normal proportions. Each twin has her own heart, stomach, spine, lungs, and spinal cord, but share a bladder, large intestine, liver, diaphragm, and reproductive organs. They may have two separate brains, hearts and sets of lungs, but they share everything else, , as they say, “a normal life.

The death of one twin can also lead to kidney failure in the surviving twin. Even though conjoined twins usually share an organ or two, they each have their own set of kidneys. If one twin dies, blood stops flowing through his or her kidneys, causing blood pressure to drop and eventually leading to kidney failure in both twins. This is why doctors often try to separate conjoined twins as soon as possible after birth.

If one twin dies in the womb, there is no medical intervention possible. The death of one fetus can place significant stress on the other. If they are joined below the head and/or share organs internally, then separation surgery would not be possible without killing the second twin. In that case, both twins need to die before any dissection takes place.

Once the dead twin’s heart stops, he adds, the “blood stops pumping, the vessels dilate, and the conjoined twin will essentially bleed into the dead twin. If one dies the other will die too with in two to three days.

If you were wondering, “Are conjoined twins Abby and Brittany married?” now you know. The twins are not yet married. Nevertheless, they dream of getting married someday and even having children. It is incredible how Abby and Brittany have been able to coordinate and achieve milestones together.

Conjoined twins occur in around one in every 200,000 live births worldwide. But doctors in the US say that 80% of conjoined twins are stillborn, while many more die within a day of birth. There are some cases in which the death of one twin leads to the other twin’s death. If you don’t respect and appreciate better change your mindset, God bless every women, our sisters and mothers you people are the best gift of God.
