The scholarship is either CAD 10,200 or CAD 12,700, depending on the length of study, and the money should be used for:

The Canadian post-secondary institution must meet the following requirements:

Be a Designated Learning University (DLI); have a valid student exchange agreement with the candidate's home institution that waives tuition costs for scholarship recipients;
Have a valid student exchange agreement with the candidate's home institution. For college and undergraduate research applications that do not include an agreement, a letter issued by the international office or equivalent of the Canadian institution will be accepted;
Prior to applying for a scholarship on the candidate's behalf, inform both the candidate and their home school about any necessary expenses that, in extreme situations, cannot be waived. This is especially important for international students.
