The sermon topic dwell more on seed power, and the illustration is that you do nothing after planting the seed as it has its power in it to grow up by itself.

The preacher illustrated the fact that God does not throw you up but makes you grow up through responsibilities and tasks. "When you jump up, you come down, but when you grow up, you stay up".

God doesn't asked you to fine tune your voice to high octave and hit great pitch, he asked you for a joyful noise, so don't shortchange yourself in offering Him His praise.
