[3:31] "(O Beloved!) Say: ‘If you love Allah, follow me. Allah will then take you as (His) beloved, and forgive you your sins for you, and Allah is Most Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.’" Prayers is the second pillar of Islam. Allah commands us in several verses of the Qur'an to observe the Prayers. The Prophet in one of his hadiths said "Pray the way you've seen me prayed." Since, the Prophet observed prayers in Arabic language, we are to do same. If the Prophet had not been an Arabian, we would be using another language. Also, Prayers involve recitations from the Qur'an which was revealed in Arabic. It makes more sense to pray in the language of the Qur'an to avoid any crookedness in meaning. 3 Likes 1 Share |
