We lost patient E.P a 67 years old female, a known diabetic who was diagnosed about 2 years ago in another Facility and HAS NOT BEEN COMPLIANT with Medications. This resulted to Diabetic End Organ complications. Before this patient packed, Her Random Blood Glucose has been flactuating from pillar to post within the range of (13.31 to 16.33) mmol/l. She was brought into the ER unconscious ( one of the Diabetic Emergencies) Hyperglycaemic Coma. The doctors did there best, the patient has been resuscitated a couple of times while in our Facility with the normal ABCD of Resuscitation administered to her. A while later the Nurses called her Respiratory Rate has changed she was having Tachypnea, then her heart shut down CPR and Defribilator was used in an attempt to Resuscitate the patient again but all to no avail. Her time of death was 9:32pm that day.

Advise: if you're a known Diabetic or you know someone who is a known Diabetic, advise them and yourself to get a glucometer to check their blood glucose levels daily and regularly and also religiously adhere to medications as prescribed by the Doctors.
