How will you follow Christ this Easter.
Judas betrayed Jesus, Peter denied him and the rest ran away. I don't know what you would have done in their situation but I'm glad you will never find out in such a dramatic fashion. However, when you have sinned, you have betrayed him. When you have not stood up for your faith, you have denied him, and when you walk away from truth and allow others to suffer because you did not act, you have run away. Holy Week gives us an opportunity once again to reread the Passion of Christ and reflect on what happened then, and what is happening now. Would you have been part of the crowd crying out for crucifixion? Would you have had the courage to stand at the foot of the cross? think back over the times you have failed to do what you know is right, when you have acted in an unkind and sinful manner. At these times, you are in that raucous crowd, you were asking for crucifixion. Thi is the time to ask for forgiveness for all your sins of the past because Jesus bore them on that cross for you. Once again, pray that you will make better decisions in the years to come and live a life that is worthy of a true and good disciple of Christ.Amen
