DIVINE VICTORY APOSTOLIC GRACE ASSEMBLY 30 IKPETIM ROAD, IKOT ABASI EASTER CONFERENCE 2022 THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS INTRODUCTION This Passover Conference is very unique in the sense that we are going to examine a very crucial subject (The Power of The Blood of Jesus) in Christian faith, which is often used and applied, but with less effectiveness; because of lack of in-depth understanding of the subject. Who Is Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth; who—when there was need to save man from the power and judgement of sin, and none else was found qualified to save man, for all have sinned—came to the earth in the form of man through Virgin Mary, and lived without sin; but died for the sins of the world. The following Scriptures backup who He is. As God Almighty, the Creator of all things – John 1:1-5 & 14-18; Heb. 1:8; Titus 2:13; Rom. 9:5; 1 John 5:20. As the unchangeable God, Jesus is described as He who was, and is and shall be forever unchangeable – Malachi 3:6; Heb. 1:6 & 10-12; 13:8. As Jehovah, the First and the Last, Jesus claimed also to be the First and the Last – Isa. 44:6; 48:12; Rev. 1:8; 22:13. He claimed oneness with God the Father – John 8:58; 10:30; 14: 7-10. As the almighty God, who came in the flesh as the Son of God – Isa. 7:14-16; 9:6-7; Matt. 1:18-23. He lived without sin (Isa. 7:14-16; Heb. 4:15; John 8:29; 19:4; 1 John 3:5; 1 Pet. 1:18-19); but died for the sins of the world (John 3:16; Rom. 5:8; 1 Cor. 15:3). What Makes His BLOOD Powerful? Going by the truth … the wages of sin is death … (Rom. 6:23; Gen. 2:17); but Jesus Christ was sinless and guiltless before the judgement throne. Despite His guiltlessness and non-conviction before the trying judge (Pilate), the world rejected Him, abused and mistreated Him as a sinner; and eventually crucified Him on the Cross of Calvary. He died accursed; but guiltless before God. However, the just God, who is Judge of all, didn’t allow His righteous soul to see corruption (Acts 13:33-35); hence He rose from death and lives forever. More so, because His sinless BLOOD cannot be sacrificed in vain, God has presented Him as a gift to the world, and His Blood as a ransom for the sins of the world (Matt. 20:28; 1 Tim. 2:6). The Power/Significance of the Blood of Jesus The Blood of Jesus cleanses us (believers in Christ) from all sins – I John 1:7; Heb. 9:22 & 26; Rev. 7:14. The Blood of Jesus is a propitiation (an atoning sacrifice) for sins – Romans 5:25. The Blood of Jesus is a ransom (a redemptive price) for the forgiveness of sins – Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14. The Blood of Jesus purges our conscience/hearts to serve the living God – Heb. 9:13-14. The Blood of Jesus sanctifies the believers in Christ – Heb. 13:12. The Blood of Jesus justifies and saves from the wrath of God – Rom. 5:9; Exod. 12:13. The Blood of Jesus has the power to purchase (redeem) men from the Kingdom of this world – Acts 20:28. The Blood of Jesus redeems us from vain/evil traditional conducts of our fathers/ancestors – I Pet. 1:18; Rev. 5:9. It has the power to reconcile all things unto God – Col. 1:20 (See vv.16-20). It brings man, who was far from God, near to Him – Eph. 2:13. The Blood of Jesus brings us into a new covenant with God – Matt. 26:27-28; Mark 14:24. The Blood of Jesus seals the new covenant we have with God, and makes it eternal (everlasting) – Heb. 13:20. The Blood of Jesus speaks better; hence move powerful, than any other sacrifice – Heb. 12:24. The Blood of Jesus creates eternal life, the life of God, in a man – John 6:53-54. The Blood of Jesus causes a man to dwell/live in Christ, and Christ to dwell/live in a man. That is to say, it sustains a man in Christ, Christ in a man – John 6:56. The Blood of Jesus has the power to purge all things and make them holy unto God – Heb. 9:22-23. The Blood of Jesus grants us boldness to enter the Most Holy Place (Presence of God) – Heb. 10:19; 4:16. The Blood of Jesus grants us power to overcome Satan and his wicked kingdom – Rev. 12:10-11. The Blood of Jesus is a powerful tool for deliverance – Exod. 12:21-33; Zech. 9:11. The Blood of Jesus attracts the Blessings of God upon a man – I Cor. 10:16. |
