(1) VALUE As a marketer, your first duty is to give value about the product you are marketing, and your second duty is to sell, and if you want to sell successfully, offer them value, value means information about the product,not only on what you’re promoting but life generally. As a newbie, if you sell instantly rather than giving value, you’ll fail, you know why? Value gives you Authority online, it makes people know, like and Trust you, and when this happens your customers are ready to trust you with their lives and money, hence you make massive sale. (2) REALISTIC GOALS Another mistake you make as a marketer today, is your inability to set realistic goals, and the inability to believe in yourself that you can get that goal, one thing about setting realistic goal, is that it pushes you to do better and not to give up when things are tough in your business. Emphasis on realistic goals, you might have a goal of making ₦1million in your first month as a newbie, it is very good but if your mindset does not follow, you’ll not achieve it. Most marketers set goals , but they never understand it, it is only when you understand your goals you have the chance of being successful. (3) FAILURE TO RESEARCH AUDIENCE You should know this as a marketer, you’re not selling to everyone, you’re selling to a specific audience, your researched audience are the ones that need your product. Hence you need to find them. when you fail to find them, you’ll be giving your valuable content to the wrong audience and guess what? They won’t buy because they are not interested in what you’re selling. But once you do your research to know who and where your audience are, then you can simply channel your value to them, hence they start running to you because your content is constantly touching them.
