Judas was a man doing well. He was doing well. By the standard of those days he was comfortable. Like every human he needed more money and influence.
Then entered Jesus. Jesus came as a messiah at a time the land of Israel was under occupation by the Roman Forces. Before the coming of Jesus there were prophesies that a messiah would come to liberate them from the Roman occupation. When Jesus came as the messiah some of His disciples including Judas Iscariot were looking up to Him not as a spiritual head but as a warlord. I mean someone who could lead them to war against the Romans and after that seat in the throne of David forever.
Judas was a expecting a political position. Since the disciples were twelve and the tribes of Israel in the form of states were twelve, Judas looked forward to be one of the governors.
He had left his businesses to follow Jesus expecting to reap a bountiful reward here on earth as one of the governors. He was the treasurer of the apostles.
Judas became a little unsettled when Jesus made a triumphant entry into Jerusalem but not taking over governance by force or war. He became more agitated and felt dismayed when Jesus started saying His Kingdom was not of this earth but in heaven. Jesus revealed He would be killed and then would His Kingdom come.
At this juncture Judas concluded that he had left a good life for a fathom chase of heavenly kingdom. As a business man he had a plan to break even. And how could that be achieved? Judas hatched the plan of selling Jesus out. To him, since Jesus had said He would die he needed to make money out of it knowing that it must surely come to pass.
However when Judas listened to Jesus'interrogation in the hand of Pilate and the subsequent manhandling he realized his mistake and repented of his actions. He came to understand the Kingdom Jesus was talking about that even Pilate became afraid. Judas sought to return the money he was given as blood money but it was rejected and too late With grief and remorse Judas took the action of commiting suicide by hanging himself.
Judas died before Jesus eventually.
I have just narrated literally what happened.

There are issues not to play with as they touch the heart of God. There are paths angels dred to walk upon. You're on the wrong path.

Good day
If you understand Bible I have said nothing other than what Bible said. Judas betrayed Jesus. Point out what I said wrongly and I will apologize. Stop this over spirituality.
