Bailout from what? Rejecting EU which is an expert organization in growing member state's economy and chose to allied with putin who was to give loan to Ukraine and later cashout with high interest.Thanks to the Euromaidan that led to the ousting of Yanukovych.

Russia actually gave them a better deal than what the EU offered, by choosing to bail out their failing economy and giving them gas at a highly subsidized price than what was obtainable in Europe. The EU is actually made up of 7 great economies and 20 useless and poor countries, so joining the EU does not make a country an economic power.Save for Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium etc. Everyother EU country has actually been very useless. Of what economic importance is Poland, Hungary, Lithuania,Greece, Finland etc despite being in the EU?
