The 2023 AFCON Qualifiers draws has just been concluded; CAF decided to increase the number of qualifying teams for next year’s tournament to 48 in a group of 12, this means that the first two teams will make it to the POTs for the main tournament groupings.

The groups range from A-L and apart from having more teams, the seeding was evenly poised. The Super Eagles of Nigeria seem to have the easiest group; Morocco will slug it out with South Africa and Zimbabwe in group K while defending champions Senegal are pitted against Benin and Mozambique in group L. Mohammed Salah and his teammates will have another shot for a place in Cote D’Ivoire if they make it through Guinea and Ethiopia.
