Award winning Journalist, Publisher and Editor in Chief, 'Trek Africa' Magazine, Oki Samson, is basking in the euphoria of clocking a year older, as family, friends, celebrities and media bigwigs send their goodwill messages, in celebration of a colleague, brother and national hero.

Born on the 20th of April, sometimes in the earlier 1980s, to the family of Oki Ayinla in Okitipupa, Ondo state, Oki Samson Olatunji is a name that has over the years established a brand renowned for excellence in the media world and authority in youths advocacy.

Although he maintains a low profile, the trained accountant cum publicist and media guru is the CEO of Mckinggs Media Productions, a branding and media company with major interests in advocacy, publicity, photography, publishing, events and talent development.

Oki Samson is also the incumbent President of National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP, amongst working in various media related roles for the Nigerian and Liberian government.

Third of four boys, whose Dad hails from Ondo, and Mum from Sierra Leone, Oki Samson, was homeschooled all through his nursery years, before attending Victoria island Primary School and Kuramo College in Victoria island, Lagos.

Narrating his journey into media, Samson noted how his flair for arts and interest in photography during University days proved to be a pointer to a glorious future.

A firm believer of 'Ideas rule the world', Samson believes our youth are filled with ideas and leadership traits. seeing how our youths excel in various fields including sports, banking, ICT and entertainment, except for the difference between them and the millions of unemployed graduates, being the exposure and the ability to maximise their potential.
