Giveaway Scam

Sometime ago, someone won a giveaway and he was asked to send his phone number for the prize. After sending it, he was called back by the admin that he did not send his hotline. He asked them why they needed his hotline and they told him they give prizes to people's hotlines. He gave them his hotline after much convincing pressure. After few days, they started operation on his number. The guy started receiving password reset codes from different platforms where he registered with his hotline. He suspected on time and quickly sought for help on how to secure all his social media accounts and bank details. Some of these fraudsters are current or ex-bankers and tech experts. They will harvest many people's details and start playing around them to see the gullible ones that will fall preys.

Don't be greedy. Don't fly your hotlines and even your account details indiscriminately online.

Beware!
