It was a North London derby between close rivals Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues had earlier returned to winning ways following their Champions League quarter-final exit. Thus, with the 6-0 thrashing of Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League and the subsequent demolition of Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final at the Wembley stadia, one can confidently say that even the sky is bent on altering to any other pigment. However, the story chain isn’t the same for the Gunners as they have failed to win any of the League matches in April with a consecutive loss to the Eagles, the Albion, and the Saints.

Though, the derby which was initially anticipated as a walk in the park for the Blues became a reality check as the Gunners took all three points home. The lead cane in the 13th minute, thanks to the defensive blunder from Andreas Christensen which Edward Nketiah took advantage of. Nonetheless, Timo Werner levels things up for the Blues four minute later. Nketiah further extended their lead after he registered a brace only a few minutes into the second half while Bukayo Saka capped it up from the penalty spot-kick and made it 4-2.
