Do u guys even get brain at all. Do u even know what u are saying? You want to continue with anti corruption campaign after granting pardon to someone that looted the state treasury. Buhari is such a failure and he equally surrounded himself with failures.

African china comes to mind ... If poor man steal Dem go show e face for crime fighters. He should also point out in his prerogative for mercy that the monies they stole were supposed to be used to build hospitals that due to lack of facilities led to the death of many, accidents on roads which could have been fixed, quality schools for student who were then trained poorly and have joined Boko boys.

Yankee101:
The U.S. is opposing plans by Nigeria’s government to hand about $100 million the American authorities say was stolen by deceased former dictator Sani Abacha to a top ruling party official.

The disagreement may hamper future cooperation between the two nations to recover state money moved offshore by Abacha, who Transparency International estimates may have looted as much as $5 billion during his 1993-98 rule. A commitment by Nigeria to transfer the funds to Kebbi state Governor Abubakar Bagudu appears to undermine Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari’s pledge to quell rampant graft in Africa’s top oil producer.

The U.S. Department of Justice says Bagudu was involved in corruption with Abacha. The DoJ also contends that the Nigerian government is hindering U.S. efforts to recover allegedly laundered money it says it’s traced to Bagudu. Buhari’s administration says a 17-year-old agreement entitles Bagudu to the funds and prevents Nigeria from assisting the U.S., according to recent filings from the District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington.

“This case illustrates how complex and contentious repatriating stolen assets to Nigeria can be,” said Matthew Page, an associate fellow at London-based Chatham House and former Nigeria expert for U.S. intelligence agencies. “Instead of welcoming U.S. efforts, Nigeria’s lawyers appear to be supporting the interests of one of the country’s most powerful families.”

A Nigerian Academic based in the United States, Professor Farooq Kperogi has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari personally gave the order to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to withdraw a corruption case against former Gombe State governor, Danjuma Goje.

It would be recalled that Goje is being investigated by the EFCC over alleged N25 billion fraud.

The unexpected withdrawal of EFCC came a day after Goje stepped down for Senator Ahmed Lawan in the race for the Senate Presidency.

SaharaReporters reported in an exclusive that Goje stepped down in an exchange that the charges of financial impropriety leveled against him by the EFCC be dropped on orders of President Buhari.

The President, who is leading a so-called ‘war against corruption’, struck the deal to enable the attorney- general of the federation take over the case in order to stall it and ultimately quash it.

Mr Garaba, please after 7 years we no longer want or care for any explanations on anything this sad excuse of a govt does.

It is clear, even to an unborn child tha the Buhari administration of 2015 to 2023 will be recorded as the worst in Nigeria's history. No amount of press releases, articles, news conferenes will ever change that sad fact

I know a lot of scallywags on this platform who berated President Goodluck Jonathan for simply following due process in the prosecution of corrupt politicians until body odour came with initial gra gra. Here is where we are today freeing same politicians that Jonathan prosecuted and jailed. The Mainas of this country is why EFCC has left the big shots to chase around Yahoo boys on the streets of Lagos and Ogun state.

Alamieyeseigha completed his jail term before being pardoned.

Moreover, why should bad precedent be the benchmark for a govt with a pivotal "fight" against corruption?
