There are reports that Pastor Tonye Cole has emerged Rivers APC preferred/consensus gubernatorial aspirant.
Although no official statement has been released to that effect from the party but many APC chieftains in the state including the party leader in Tai local government area Kate sam ngbor have already posted his emergence on their social media handles.

Our correspondent gathered that the emergence of Tonye Cole as the preferred candidate was agreed by the ten APC governorship aspirants at a meeting held Friday night in port Harcourt.

Nigerians should start electing people who can create wealth and has managed successful businesses before.

I don't know a state like rivers will focus on building flyovers when they can build things like power plants and modular refineries that will create wealth and employment.

The mode of primary for nomination of governorship candidates under APC has not been decided. Any talk of consensus candidate at this point in time is rubbish. Magnus Abe has already declared for governor of Rivers state and he will contest for the party’s ticket at the coming state congress.
