Most laptops have built in graphics card and CPU (central processing unit). So if you are just using it for surfing the web, it should be fine. But if you are going to use it for graphic design, multimedia or programming, you need better hardware, and there are more advanced features. A good choice will depend on your needs.

Top five laptops are as follows

• Lenovo X230i - This is a great all rounder at an affordable price point.
• Dell Precision 5520 - A high performance workstation that will do everything a business needs from work.
• Acer Aspire V5 572 - This is a great mid range option if your budget is a little tight.
• HP Pavilion Elite 2-in-1 Laptop PC - A solid Windows notebook with a detachable keyboard.
• Lenovo T400 ThinkPad Notebook - A well designed and sturdy laptop that looks great.

2. Do your research. You want a laptop with good build quality and a decent amount of RAM and storage space. It should be reasonably light, comfortable to type on and have a battery life that is sufficient to keep it running through the day without being recharged in between.

3. Make sure you look for a laptop with a great warranty and support service. Make sure you know the model number of the machine and where you can find information about its availability or the length of its warranty.

4. Don't settle for the lowest price. Look for something that is good quality and has features and benefits that are important to you.

5. Lastly make sure you check the size.

7 Tips How to select the best laptop for personal use?

Choose a laptop with a CPU with at least i3 or i5 as you will need enough speed and power to run all the plugins and programs needed, here are some goods on laptopswebsite.

1. Choose between 8gb-16gb of ram, with the majority being 16gb of ram.
2. Choose SSD storage, or at least an SSD, you want the fastest hard drive you can afford.
3. Choose between a matte or glossy screen, with matte screens usually giving better results in terms of color accuracy and lower levels of reflection.

You may also consider a touchscreen, this gives you the chance to control most of the system without having to reach for your mouse or keyboard, but it can make for some annoying quirks.

Also, try to avoid IPS (in-plane switching) and TN screens, they can have a lower resolution but still look very good.

1. Choose a trackpad or touchpad, depending on your use case.
2. Choose a 1366 x 768 resolution.
3. Choose between an Intel or AMD processor, if possible try to get something other than the cheapest.
4. Try to get at least 8gb of ram, although 16gb is more advisable, with 2gb of the ram going towards your graphics card, the rest goes into your system.

My recommendation is that you should go for the system which is compatible with your work or which operating system such as Windows, Mac OS, Ubuntu etc and also, you need to make sure whether you are going to buy a portable system or a desk system.
