Plenty of yeye comments here. You don’t have to be technically savvy to realize the article isn’t implying Nigeria is responsible for the attack; the attack was launched via a Nigerian server. Two different things, totally. Of course, it’s possible a Nigerian individual or group is responsible, which is highly unlikely. I mean highly unlikely, not that Nigeria lacks the talent, but that the target and timing are telltales of their own. India has has refused to cease its oil transactions with Russia, and not everyone is happy about that. The irony here is that the weapon of choice is Russian-made. What has Nigeria got to do with all that? The average Nigerian scammer is looking for a trusty white man/woman to sell love to.

India is one of the few countries still in very good relationship with Russia. They're even buying lots and lots of Russian oil.

It's the west. This is what they do best. They have been threatening India to stop transacting with Russia in recent weeks.

It's very possible that the attack originated from Nigeria. A lot of PCs harbour malware. If your PC gets infected by a trojan, the attacker can use your PC to launch attacks on other PCs without your knowledge. It's actually quite easy, I'm sure the Indians know this
