Let them do proper investigation, the attack is really not from Nigeria, rather they are seeing what the attacker wanted them to see so that they won't look at the right place.
Or it might be from alien hideouts here in Nigeria as Many European nations have alleged that russia,china and some other states have cells in Nigeria.

An attacker can host from any server anywhere in the world and be in another part of the world. Doesn't really mean it's a Nigerian attacker but it could be however cheesy

This is a decoy tactic to make the attack look like it was launched from Nigeria, they need to investigate to know where it really came from.
