The Initiative for Integrity and Good Leadership has called on Minister of State for Power, Giddy Jedy Agba to come out and contest for Cross River Gubernatorial seat.
Speaking at a conference yesterday in Abuja, the group, led by Bassey Etang and Nkoyo Effiong stated that having looked at the various major stakeholders who have indicated interests in succeeding Ben Ayade as the Governor, they believe that Jeddy Agba should be the one to carry the APC banner in the election.
They highlighted not only his sterling leadership qualities as shown in the role he has continued to play in uniting the party in the State, but also his ensuring that no one from the State comes to him with a problem or problems and goes back home with the same.
They recalled how he came to the aid of Akpabuyo Local Government in the State, months back after they had issues with Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company and their light was cut off for two years. It took less than a month for light to be restored.
They also cited his various projects back here me that have helped in ameliorating the conditions of the people and giving them a new lease of life.
Not only this, his efforts in ensuring that the electricity supply in the country receives the needed boost has also been acknowledged by all including even the President.
Based on this, the NGO believes that if given the opportunity to serve Cross River, he would take the State to a new level in terms of rural development, industrialization while building on the Ayade legacies.
