A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Joe Igbokwe, on Thursday said Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the ruling party, deserves to be the next president of Nigeria because he is “a labourer who deserves his pay”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Drainage Services, who is a staunch supporter of Tinubu, praised the two-term Lagos State Governor for ‘touching the lives of thousands’ across Nigeria. He vowed that the presidential hopeful will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

“The holy book says a labourer deserves his pay. Asiwaju has lived for others, touched lives of thousands East, West , North or South . Take this from me: Asiwaju is the next president of Nigeria,” Igbokwe on his known Facebook page.

The Special Convention in respect of the APC’s Presidential Primaries would hold from May 30 to June 1.

Well BAT is not a labourer. We all know who labourers are. Labourers carry blocks on their heads and other forms of load. BAT is a politician who stepped on toes, betrayed others, fought political wars, positioned people, got power and wealth.

Nigeria and Nigerians do not owe him. He earns his wages by the minute, with his several investments and entitlements. If he feels that he needs a payback, then it should be from those who he helped to economic and political positions and not Nigerians who are suffering hardship and impoverishment from his political leaning since 2014 till date. He owes Nigerians an apology for confusing and making them wrongly cast their votes in 2015.

Joe Igbokwe should carry his otimkpu life to one corner abeg.
