PDP Reinstates Kano State Exco, Approved Barr. Onu as Ebonyi State Chairman

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP after an extensive deliberation and in obedience to the Order of Court, has approved the reinstatement of the dissolved Executive Committee members of our Party in Kano State.

In a statement made available to our correspondent by Hon. Debo Ologunagba,
National Publicity Secretary said in obedience to a Judgment of Court, the NWC has equally declared Barr. Silas Onu as the Ebonyi State Chairman of our great Party.

According to the statement, "to this effect, the Alhaji Shehu Sagagi-led Kano State Executive as well as all Excutive members of our Party at all levels in Kano State are hereby reinstated."

"Also in obedience to a similar Judgment of Court, the NWC has declared Barr. Silas Onu as the Ebonyi State Chairman of our great Party."

"All leaders, critical stakeholders, relevant agencies and our teeming members, particularly in Kano and Ebonyi States in the two states should please note."

Recall that Onu, former caretaker Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ebonyi chapter, has been sworn in as the party’s new Chairman in Ebonyi.

Onu took over from Chief Tochukwu Okorie, who was elected in a state Congress held in October following his sack by an Abuja Federal High Court, presided by Justice A. Abubakar on Wednesday.

Onu, in an interview with journalists on Wednesday in Abakaliki, said that the judgment had reinforced his belief in the judiciary as a beacon for democracy and the last hope of the oppressed.

He said that his leadership would reposition the party as a strong opposition party in order to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Onu said there was no victor and no vanquished, stressing that PDP remains one big united family.

But when the yeye party dey on power, life was easy and better than now wey correct party dey rule. Even as a yeye party is far better than this disaster we have now.

PDP seems to be ahead of everything and united more than APC. I read in the other thread that APC is waiting for their elder brother PDP to make a move in zoning before they follow suit. A divided house can't stand a chance of winning.
