O Boy, it's crazy o! All the alternatives that I saw are for very expensive subscription services. And they're not as simple or straightforward to use as Alexa.
I wonder why they simply couldn't make it open source and fund/support it by advertisement.

SemRush is very expensive. Mangools and others do not measure estimated traffic and show their positions on the world wide web.

SEMRush is very expensive but it is very comprehensive. Mangools definitely measures estimated traffic and serp position.

Educate me on what you used it for

I have always been dependent on alexa for web rankings. It is really an end of a glorious era. I so look forward to using a site or app that can replace alexa. Meanwhile,what is Jeff Bezos or the owner of alexa thinking closing that site? Alexa is a very resourseful website. Damn !

Many of the commenters do not know some special benefits that Alexa provided.

Most of these Alexa alternatives out there cannot give you the accurate
popularity rankings of websites per country.

Similar web is the best alternative I can recommend. Been using it years before Alex shut down.

Only Google Analytics, or analytics software running on your site can do that.

It wasn't always owned by Amazon, If Amazon hadn't bought it, I am sure it would still be available. I used it back in the day until Amazon bought and started charging for services that were previously free.

Truly Alexa was just the go to site for any thing web analytics for me. I don't even use it professionally, cus there's no need for that in my line of business, but I felt heart broken when I saw its decommission notice a few months back. Its just simple and presents all data in one click...mostly for free!!!

Only Google Analytics, or analytics software running on your site can do that.

I meant to say daily updates on web rankings. For instance, the latest data on SimilarWeb is in March, while we are already in May.

Alexa gives you updated web rankings. I'm very particular about the rankings only.

Leave that thing. Oyibo man is not stupid to create a number with no security feature. Nobody can steal a dime from your bank account with only your bvn. If not, bankers for dey collect money from people's account easily. The most they can do is to get access to your information but these information are useless to the scammer without you giving them your password and the OTP sent to your phone. So its not as easy as this guy is saying.

No serious person uses Alexa for proper SEO or rankings anymore. If you're serious Ahrefs or SEMRush is the way to go, for cheaper solutions you can use Mangools or serpstats.

They are the Nokia of seo tools
