Oyo does not need the Central government to survive, same as all Southern states. Tinubu and Lagos survived for 8 years despite being at war with Obasanjo. Any Southern states will.

He has stepped down from earlier promise of political restructuring to mere devolution of powers to the states and local governments.
Arewa soldiers proliferated too many states and local government areas in the northern region. The political structure gave the northern region excess political and economic powers. Resources from the south go more to the northern states and local government areas, the southern states starve and their politicians look on the northern politicians for ways forward.
This is unfair.
Land mass or population figures is never used as yardstick to create new political units in a country formed by different nations/ regions. Nigeria's political structure is a monumental fraud.
