Goodluck Jonathan - Bayelsa (South South), 2010 - 2015, 5 years
Mohammadu Buhari - Katsina (North West), 2015 - 2023, 8 years

Deputy
Babafemi Ogundipe - Ogun (South West), 1966 - 1966, 6 months
Joseph Akinwale Wey - Cross River (South South), 1966 - 1975, 9 years
Olusegun Obasanjo - Ogun (South West), 1975 - 1976, 6 months
Shehu Yar'adua - Katsina (North West), 1976 - 1979, 3 years

Namadi Sambo - Kaduna (North West), 2010 - 2015, 5 years
Yemi Osinbajo - Ogun (South West), 2015 - 2023, 8 years

Head of state/President
North Central - 18 years
North East - 14 years
North West - 17 years + 6 months
South East - 3 years + 6 months
South West - 11 years + 3 months
South South - 5 years

Vice/Deputy
North Central - 2 years
North East - 8 years
North West - 8 years
South East - 5 years
South West - 13 years
South South - 20 years

If we are to go by rotational system, 2023 should go to South East in all fairness. They didn't come to be ordinary spectators. To maintain peace and unity, South East President and maybe North East Vice president (Since Nigerians will not accept South/South ticket, else it would have been SE/SS).
But if it is to get the job done, applying some sentiments, Presidency should generally go to the South, because the North has been in power for total of 50 years, and with all our resources and population, Nigeria is still a third-world country, seems those guys from up there didn't do a good job at all. In fact South should be president for at least the next 16 years to add to previous 20 years, then we can start talking about zoning.
But if it is to get the job done, without sentiments, anybody from anywhere!

But most of us have been blinded by greed, bitterness, and sentiments, such that we keep supporting politicians who have fed fat on our money and want to eat more, and we come here to attack one another when we all have a common enemies.
In Coolio's voice - tell me, why are we so blind to see, that the ones we hurt are YOU and ME?

You have nothing to offer in progressive Nigeria.
Instead of you to ask for a credible and capable candidates, you are spewing ethnic and regional/sentimental politics.
I've now seen why we are where we are.
With people like you still living on this planet, Nigeria will be far from any meaningful development!

It's glaring that the NE is the most marginalised region, and not some people issuing orders and threats all over the place.

That said, the North has been a disaster when in power so far, hence whatever argument they present will be thoroughly thrashed.

Tafawa Balewa - Bauchi is in the North East geopolitical zone and not North Central as presented. Thank you

The best bet for the igbos is to align with tinubu because in him you can get the president you so much desire and wished for… stop hating him for. O reason because he’s miles ahead of all your politicians dead and alive

Some of you think that Nigeria begins and ends in Yoruba Land hence overating your tiny god. We have six geo political zones in Nigeria and SW is just one out of the and we still have five remaining, even in SW Tinubu doesn't command the respect some of you are struggling to sell to Nigerians. We are talking of Nig presidency not Yoruba Oba leadership tussle. Know this and know peace, Nigeria is far away more bigger than you think..

Who's Tinubu ?

Ultimately, he was a NE man

So the SE is still the most marginalised

Okay, Abacha from NE, Balewa from NE. Good right?
It doesn't change one fact here: SE has the least taste of power.

All those spewing threats and forming objectivity, you people are ignorant how Nigeria is structured. Go to the North during election campaigns, and hear what the streets are saying, you won't come here and start insulting me. You'll realize how much you have been robbed!

And I don't know whether some people have trouble reading or comprehending analytical statements, read the last paragraph of the post before you comment!
I'm from South West, but non of my preferred candidates is from SW. Talking of competence, SE and SS have better candidates in both APC and PDP in my opinion. That is objectivity!!!
After all, Northern leaders spent 50 years, they don't seem to know what they are doing, else no one would be campaigning with electricity, good roads, or any other infrastructure in 2022.
Instead of you coming here to insult, go and face the politicians who have shortchanged you for decades.
