Niger Delta Affairs Minister Senator Godswill Akpabio has resigned in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive.

The President during Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting ordered all cabinet members eyeing elective offices to quit before May 16.

In a chat with The Nation, Personal Assistant to the Minister on Media, Jackson Udom, confirmed his resignation.

He said: “the Minister has resigned. He has submitted his resignation letter to the SGF. We are waiting for him at the ICC, where he is coming to submit his nomination form”.

Akpabio use to be a politician I was proud of until he joined one political party that I am afraid to mention its name.
I remember his eight years reign in Akwa Ibom state. His people loved him because of his approach to governance then. Infrastructure and all the rest.
But as a minister of the Niger Delta affairs, he performed below expectation. He Should resign and I hope the next person that will occupy his position will do better.

This is what leadership does.

Issue command and your downliners will obey immediately.

But Buhari will prevaricate until things dabaru before he will exude his body odour.

Such a slow man.

Akpabio, the man with balls unlike that man that wants to eat his cake and have it; he wants to consult his constituency who didn't appointed him as Minister First before he resigns.
Joke of a Minister

Good for him, let others also follow suit.

The funniest thing is, you either forfeit 100M and remain a minister or lose your ministerial appointment and then spend more money on campaign that you might not even win the primary election.
