The Police have uncovered a new method that criminal elements use to transport riffles across the country and evade security checks. The latest is the arrest of two suspected gun runners who concealed two Ak47 rifles in bags of beans. The suspects, 37-year-old Badong Audu from Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State and 44-year-old Chimezie Okolie from Ekwusigo LGA Local Government Area of Anambra State, were arrested by Operatives of the FIB-Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on April 22, 2022.
