A member of the National Youth Service Corps, identified simply as Aliyu, who served in Abuja, was killed by a stray bullet from a crossfire between security officials and bandits along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.

It was gathered that the bandits were engaged by the security officials while they attempted to cross the highway at Kasarami Village, Friday night.

The corps member, on a Kaduna-bound commercial vehicle, was reportedly hit on the head by the bullet.

A high-ranking police officer in the state who spoke on condition of anonymity said about seven bandits were killed during the crossfire.

Police Spokesperson has not issued an official Statement to confirm this report and her phone number is unreachable as at the time of filing this report.
