According to reports, the yet-to-be-identified policeman was shot dead at Eke Oko, in Aguata local government area of the state.

It was gathered that the policeman was riding on a motorcycle before he was intercepted along the road, attacked and gunned down by unknown gunmen.

Prescribing them at that time was a strategic blunder. There was still room for maneuver for government then than it is now. How many security agents were killed before and after the poscription. A smart government will keep their friends close, but enemies closer.

It takes serious investment to train a security officer, to continue losing them in this number accros Nigeria is not good all. Sooner or later there will severe shortage of security men across the country as more people become reluctant to join the service.

Government will then respond by enticing them with even more remuneration - more cost, and opportunities forgone.
