SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is likely to be transmitted from animals to humans through messenger animals, according to a report released today by the World Health Organization. "That's what many of us have been thinking about," said Ian Lipkin, director of the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.
