Lol imagine PDP recognizing sit-at-home; the basis of the killings and violence pervading the SE by ipob gunmen. No wonder most zoo chanting ipob accounts transformed to pdp Obi Pandora campaigning accounts overnight.

APC would rather fix theirs on a Monday and watch the usual 5% votes quickly reduce to 3 or 2.5%.

I wonder the people wey dey like all this una comment.

lol pdp want Apc to do their own first so they'll know which direction to go.

if Apc mistakenly give Tinubu ticket then they PDP will go north since the SE/SS presidency or the north continues slogan remains sacrosanct.
if Apc goes South South then they might go north (will mark the end of pdp in the south because we SE/SS will definitely vote any SE/SS candidate irrespective of political party)

well we're watching.
2023 won't be traditional party voting.
the game has changed.

Does this change affect the presidential primary?

That's a very smart and expected move. PDP's candidate should depend on who emerges for APC. If they bring papa Tinubu, aka APC daddy G.O, Peter obi will floor him effortlessly.
If they bring Amaechi, we troway Atiku or Wiked. But if na Osinbajo, Peter obi will still win but with a slim margin.

This is becoming a chess and PDP is making a very smart move! By delaying their presidential primaries while waiting for APC to do theirs, it will put severe pressure on APC since they're still battling on whether to allow a consensus candidate supported by the president or throwing it open. The more they delay, the more it makes it near impossible for Tinubu to have a second plan once he is denied their ticket.

If APC brings mistakenly brings Tinubu or any Northerner, then PDP should give it to Atiku. If APC brings Amaechi, then PDP should give it to Peter Obi. Obi is backed by the Nigerian elite/business community in Lagos/Abuja and he will get block vote in the East, and win in the SW while getting up to half of SS votes. The battle ground will now be North and the value of who they use as VP now comes into play.

Amaechi can't win Peter Obi. The dude can't even win Rivers state. Everyone agrees it's the turn of the Igbos, so every other Niger Delta state would vote for Peter Obi.
