1billion dollars!? Op, you don smoke that thing again

Lol grin

The $1b is not for her only.

It's for all 49,900 contestants.

That's roughly $20k per contestant, if shared equally.

But it will not t be shared equally because there's a winner, a runner-up and a second runner up

So, her share might be roughly $100k.

OP just made the headline sensational

A 16-year-old Nigerian wonderkid identified as Tomisin Ogunnubi, has emerged one of the winners of global $1bn Rise Initiative after beating 49,900 other applicants who applied from 170 countries across the world.

The talented Nigerian girl, who specializes in the technology and coding gained a lot of attention after she developed an app called “My Locator”, a software that help lost children find their way back home in 2016.

The “My Locator” app uses Google Maps to track users as they move from one location to the next. Users can add numbers that will receive their location in the event of an emergency. Since the creation of the app, it has garnered over 1,000 downloads.

Tomisin emerged as one of the 100 winners of the $1bn Rise initiative fund and will now benefit a lifetime award including scholarships to study abroad, mentorship, career development opportunities and funding.

The young teenager, who is a Computer Science student at Imperial College, London learned how to code at the age of 12 and wanted to use her knowledge to create something useful.

She has explored and gathered knowledge in web and mobile development and worked with several languages and frameworks such as Javascript, Java and Python. She has also explored the fields of machine learning, design and animation.

She currently works as a Software Engineer at Cascade, UK.

And of course this is the key to her achievement ,if she was schooled in nigeria she won't be able to emerge on top.

thats y quality education is key to advancement
