In Osogbo, the Osun State capital, the chants of PYO, PYO, PYO and Incoming, Incoming, Incoming rent the air as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo acknowledged cheers from left, right and centre.

Needless to say that his security team was having a hard time controlling to the crowd, they kept on breaching protocol as the chemistry between the Vice President and the people was on full display.

After navigating the crowd, the VP held his unique delegate meeting with APC members. It was just another opportunity for the VP to outline his plans for Nigeria and his party, the All Progressives Congress.

Call it an encounter of conversion and you wouldn't be wrong. There were a number of new converts in the hall. They were perplexed, intrigued, and even mesmerized at how the VP showed leadership, and how he answered questions thrown at him.

While the meeting was ongoing, one would have thought, the chanting crowd outside would have dissipated. But no, they were in it for the long haul. Dem dey kampe!

I'd say it was some triumphant outing in Osun State.
