what I don't understand is did the national assembly just realize they needed to amend that section now? if they had done their work earlier they would still have time to even veto the president. but like a typical Nigerian politician they are last minute rush. nonsense
the president spotted this mistake earlier and refused to sign. PDP, civil society organisations, NGOs protested that he must sign. He wanted it corrected before signing. Out of pressure, he signed. National assembly was trying to wrestle control of delegates from governors and unknowingly schemed themselves out of the whole process including president, vice and all other appointees. Today they want to force the president to sign. No way.

I come in peace bro. But if you understand why he hasn’t signed the amended bill then you’ll pray for his plan to work. The NASS and AGF (Malami) are the ones with a plan we should all pray to fail.

Lawan and Buhari playing some funny games
The current system favours the state governors more than the nass caucus. The state governors have greater control over the delegates

Exactly! The whole thing is all about some people's selfish interest and not really about strengthening our Democratic process

May every Buhari-like politicians be flushed out divinely.

There are many who display semblance of actions and transformation like Peter Obi, Kayode Fayemi, Atiku Abubakar, Aminu Tambuwal, Bala Mohammed, Bukola Saraki, Yahaya Bello, Ahmad Lawan, Ogbonnaya Onu, Anyim Pius Anyim, etc but they lack the will power and sincerity - all fort their selfish interests.

May the anger of God almighty kindle against and strike every delegate whose agenda is to take Nigeria backwards.

It is better they remain the best presidents Nigeria on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms than waste our precious time and dash the hopes of Nigerians.

But come to think of it, the big money bags will not be able to share their money again. The governors and big wipes of the parties can not control how the delegate will vote. To me is a win to those people that want to control how the vote should go.
On the contrary, this is the tailor made situation for the governors and it's the legislators and presidency in Abuja that have lost out with this delegate arrangement. Do you think any election is going on at the grassroot level to elect delegates? The governors are simply sending a list of their cronies who will be delegates at the party primaries hence they hold all the aces. This is exactly why the legislators quickly want to do a last minute ammendment of the law they passed themselves which has shot them in the foot.

How Bubu and Malami will be laughing at the incompetent Tinubu lackey-led NASS

They wanted to do Bubu's boys. Instead, they ended up doing themselves

They thought they dribbled Bubu when they refused amending 84 (12). They didn't realize they dribbled themselves join

Is God not wonderful?

That is why I'm happy that they have shot themselves on the foot for the best of the country, it was a bad omen for them because none of them saw it coming.

They dribbled themselves.

While they were focused on getting the political appointees out by all means, they didn't even bother to check their own end.

It ended up being a foolish strategy.
