It's expected. Give it another 8-10 months and a $1 will be exchanged for N1000. This is the projection out there as far as Buhari remains in power.

Mind you, even if Peter Obi or the brightest economics in the world becomes the next president, it will take a minimum of 1-2 years to see a 10% appreciation in the value of Naira (i.e., N900/$1) by 2023/2024!

The worst is yet to come to be honest. Save in $$ if you can and buy those electronics you think you would need NOW!
