Olamide’s YBNL Nation and Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records are two of the most influential imprints in the music industry right now.
While YBNL currently has three artists (Olamide, Fireboy, Asake), Mavins houses a much bigger roster that includes stars like Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, and Rema.

The point is, these two labels alone can serve us hits all year round and they would hold the industry down.

YBNL has been at it since Olamide first created the label to release his second album in 2012. Since then, we’ve seen an array of artists come and go. That list includes Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Lyta, Davolee, Chinko Ekun, Viktoh, and Temmie Ovwasa.

They all made hits in their time, that’s for sure. Now the label has Fireboy, Asake, and the boss himself doing hits back to back. For instance, Asake has already made four number one hits this year and Fireboy and Olamide have one each. That’s six hits. No other label is touching that!

Except maybe Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, of course. The label used to be home to artists like Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, and even Iyanya at some point. The company is still very vibrant with a couple of new artists (Ayra Starr, Magixx, Rema, Boy Spyce) making waves right now.

That’s in addition to artists like Johnny Drille, DNA, Crayon, and Korede Bello who have been there for a while. Also, when it comes to hits, well trust Mavin to always come through. They’ve got hits for days.

It’s a hard one, pitching YBNL to Mavin when it comes to hits really, because they both got hitmakers. Who’s got the most hits though? I’ll let that for y’all to decide.
