As preparation for 2023 general elections takes shape across Nigeria, expectations are high in Oyo State, following the remarkable victory of Senator Teslim Folarin at the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries. His success is a new dawn in Oyo APC, poised to unify contenders and stakeholders towards getting the number one seat in Agodi.


Observers are saying that Senator Folarin's success will bring about the realization of the Oyo Dream. The people of Oyo State have longed for an economically viable state that is culturally relevant, at the same time future-proof with digital development and modern infrastructure. These are the yearnings of Oyo electorates with confidence in "Tessy", as having what it takes to restore the State's lost glory as a pacesetter State.

Senator Teslims's candidacy is predicated on the belief that his personality as a grassroots politician with wider networks of influence outside Oyo State means a lot. This validates his Restoration Mission in Oyo State, given his passion for the masses and the large follwership he commands across the length and breadth of Oyo.
He is seen as an Ibadan land titled Chief with an aura of royalty. He also exudes the charisma of an Oyo Leader; a unifier, outspoken, cerebral, reliable and sociable. In his victory message after the governorship primary election, he stated "My nomination by a majority of our party delegates has further reinforced my conviction that God and the good people of Oyo State are indeed behind my 2023 Rescue Mission".


Now that the political turf is all geared towards 2023 elections, the growing conversation is about the emergence of an Iconic Oyo Man, whose personality connects the ancestral qualities of old and the progressive, modern trajectory. Senator Teslim Folarin is all set to be the man that Champions the realization of the Oyo Dream. Like the Oyo people would say, "a ji se bi Oyo laari, Oyo o se bi baba enikan" (Oyo is a pacesetter)!

The Folarin should be well acceptable than Adelabu but I don't see him defeating Gov Seyi
