Anambra South Senatorial APGA Primary Election: Soludo's Integrity At Stake?

Investigations have revealed that the sudden stoppage of last Saturday's APGA Anambra South Senatorial election after accreditation had been transparently and very peacefully concluded was allegedly ordered by the state governor, Prof. Charles Soludo.

Our source who spoke on condition of annonimity revealed that the stoppage was triggered by an S.O.S sent to Prof. Soludo by one of the candidates who hails from Orumba South believed to be enjoying his support.

The governor was said to have been angered by feelers that his favoured candidate was not likely to win if voting was allowed to go on, having not succeeded with their plans to swap genuine delegates with fake ones, during accreditation, who would go in and vote for him, due to tight security at the St. Alexander David's Hall venue where the election was moved to, against the earlier choice of International Conference Center - ICC

The source further hinted that the latest plan by the governor's camp to impose his preferred choice as the party's Anambra South senatorial candidate is to lure, 'kidnap' and detain genuine delegates to enable them supplant them during accreditation at the rerun using fake identification objects and party cards issue to match.

To this end, the camp is about now preparing the fake identification objects and party cards for the impostors they plan to use to replace genuine delegates at the rerun which may hold on Wednesday, May 2, 2022 at a yet to be confirmed venue.

It was reliably gathered that the arrowheads charged with carrying out the brief are the Governor's Commissioner for Special Duties, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa who was until recently a member of APGA National Working Committee (NWC) and one Nnamso Nwafor-Orizu who are alleged to have played roles that left much to be desired in facilitating a few other primary election outcomes.

Prominent among which was that of Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency where the said Sly Ezeokenwa and his clique were alleged to have used fake delegates list against the one approved by APGA NWC to return their preferred candidate.

It is yet to be ascertained at press time whether the arrowheads were merely using the name of the governor to perpetrate their plots or whether they were acting on their own.

Feelers from rival camps however indicate that all three other opponents of the governor's alleged preferred candidate are already aware of the plot and have quietly activated a counter plan to arrest the plots and the plotters on the field. They are even in possession of an alleged plan B where the plotters may attempt to secretly conduct the rerun and are effectively tailing the plot.

All eyes are now on Prof. Soludo to ascertain his culpability or otherwise in the absurdities committed in his name.
