Job Title: Fish Farm Manager
Location: Delta State
Employment Type: Full-time
Basic Job Description
o The farm manager’s responsibilities include monitoring staff, and livestock, planning, directing, or coordinating the management or operation of the farm.
o Supervise farm workers or contract for services to carry out the day-to-day activities of the managed operation.
o Analyzing existing operations, crops, livestock, and staff, and recommending improvements.
o Visiting the different divisions to inspect crops, and livestock.
o Scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery.
o Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety regulations.
o Assisting with the training of new staff members.
o Maintain all Farm Assets in a good state of repair and ensure that they are only used for farm purposes unless authorized by the Directors.
o Keeping detailed logbooks of all consumables and machinery
o Ensure that building and other materials are kept neat and that excess material is removed.
o Ensure that the general appearance of the farm is upheld in a manner befitting a model farm.
Requirements
o OND or HND/BSc candidates with related Agricultural educational background may have added advantage with 5 years experience in Fisheries Farm Management
o Extensive experience in a farming-related field Management experience would be a plus.
o Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
o The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
