An All Progressives Congress, APC, aspirant vying for the top job of the Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency, Epe Division of Lagos State, Hon Adelaja Akibu, has claimed that there was no election held in the constituency.
The protesting aspirant who also made a passionate appeal to the National and State leadership of the party to protect his mandate from being stolen by his fellow contestant and incumbent, Hon Bayo Balogun, maintained that neither the three other aspirants nor their agents witnessed any election.
He made the call in an interview with Pressmen in Epe on Wednesday, June 1st 2022, stressing that his fellow contestant, the incumbent, was being deceitful, mischievous and cunning.
Adelaja yearns for the honourable leaders of the party to call the incumbent, Hon. Bayo Balogun, to order as he has been falsely parading himself as the winner of the botched primary election which was supposed to hold on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat, Igando-Oloja.
“I want to reiterate to the world, especially the good people of Ibeju-Lekki federal constituency that there was no point when the House of Representatives primary election took place.
“As the people, especially delegates, awaited the commencement of the House of Assembly primary election in the morning, some notorious political thugs engaged the security operatives.
