Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe (Offor Ndi Igbo) has congratulated Professor Uche Ikonne, on his emergence as the candidate of the People's Democratic Party, for the 2023 Abia governorship elections

Chief Omerekpe who was one of the aspirants for the PDP gubernatorial ticket, made this known when Professor Ikonne paid him a visit in his Umuakwu-Nsulu country home.

Ncheta noted that Professor Ikonne has demonstrated Sterling qualities in leadership that will drive the much needed development in Abia State, noting that his dream for a better Abia can be achieved through him.

Omerekpe also asked his supporters not to be discouraged, but should rather work with him in supporting Professor Ikonne whom he is optimistic will deliver good governance in the state.

Professor  Ikonne in his speech commended Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe for his sportsmanship, with a promise to partner with him in his vision to put Abia on a faster lane of development.

The PDP Candidate for Isiala Ngwa North House of Assembly, Chief Ugochukwu Collins, DG Uche Ndi Abia Campaign,  Rt. Hon. Chinedum Elechi, The Deputy Directors Abia South and Abia Central Chief Ibe Nwadioha and Hon. Ibeji,  Director Admin & Planning, Elder Ogechi Chile, Dr Chinatu Njoku, Dr. Nwakuche,Pastor Ikoro Ihezuwa, among others accompanied Prof Ikonne to the visit.
