Ok.

I'll like to bite my tongue right now. I guess i wasn't really as exposed as I thought I was. Watching this video ( http://www.ted.com/talks/kevin_slavin_how_algorithms_shape_our_world.html ) has however changed my mindset,

I'll like to meet other Nigerian algorithm programmers though. Think we can arrange a talk or something?

Hmmm. Arguably one of the best threads I have seen in this section. Good to know Nigerians have evolved beyond the old know-how-to-write-a-program-only mentality and are really thinking like engineers smiley

You should only care about algorithm if you're planning to create an OS, study robotic programming, or perhaps invent something new, I mean, creating a new problem.
Algorithm or not, get the problem clear, and the solution will come.
