When practical life is thought about or pragmatic is spoke about, what comes to mind is but " the political pragmatism". As it were, "political pragmatism" tends to refer to that kind of willingness to carry out whatever work to reach any desired goal.

Although, this may not clearly say politically, what goal this could be; of speculative as it were, politically. But let face it, confronting the current political complexity of economic, and name it, of various kind of political insecurity, is no more a controversial issue and urgent goal and no one can deny its importance, either.
Furthermore, dogmatism is a concept that relates to matters of fact or practical affairs, often to the exclusion of intellectual or artistic matters; practical as opposed to idealistic, based on practical considerations.
In philosophy, a "pragmatic approach" is but an attitude or policy, and the same is true, an approach to evaluate theories or beliefs in terms of success or failure of their practical applications.

Therefore, it is about adoption to life through daily evaluation to putting things in order, be it, economic, or policies that are not working politically, in both individual and collective lives. Therefore, being practical tends to refer to that which concerned the actual doing of something, manifested in actions.
The same is true, that pragmatic politics must and indeed, deals with political agendas sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical problems depending on the environment variously rather than romancing the theoretical or speculative side of things.
Consideration and a deep feeling of concern must be given to matters of facts of what could or should be, of the like of consequences and result, in anything that concerns humanity.

As a participant of history, there is an urgent need to radicate love, tolerance, and kindness for the sake of posterity, as a bearer of witness to speak in our favor when the times comes.
Practical life demands that we learn to employ in the production and exchange of goods and services for the interest of all and in particular for those in need, for the maintenance of our life and the life of others, who may come to depend on us.
History has a way of informing us, that whether we like it or not there are souls whose cries demand our attentions of our evolving wisdom to dissipate the shadow of the conflicting forces of whatever brand they may appear, that as it may, that tends to overwhelm us. This is to strengthen the will that needed some token affection and sympathetic response.
Of cause, such sympathetic response that may take the form of a coordinated effort that may appear little. But when keely viewed in the optic of introspection, we realized they are quite enough for us to take of and adjust to, in the increase of the vibrational measure set up in our personality in it's evolutionary journey of life.
It must be observed that we have been created not to relent in our practical life, and according to St. Paul, we must work to be able to eat, and to this fact, men of the past and present have not failed to demonstrate their power of accomplishment, in economic and literature, and indeed, in various other fields to advance social progress in the interest of all.
Therefore, political pragmatism, demands not speculation, but a coordinated effort to face up to the current contemporary challenges in practical terms, dealing decisively with the evil of oppression of various kinds without any misconception of the terms, no matter what.
