Suggestion: Try learn to use them well and you will not even need to know the codes that link them up. If you did know the hyperlink syntax well then I'm not sure you will want to bring up this issue here. I bet you will be asked to paste your navigation codes soon and then you will be sorry you ever asked the question. You can visit www.w3schools.com for additional tutorials on this. |

Frontpage, Dreamweaver and the others should be banned from any learning curriculum. |
| Re: Hyperlink Headache! by OmniPotens(m): 3:38pm On Jul 19, 2011 |
I really think they should be banned because those that use them are faster in development timing because of the drag and drop features. I though have not delivered any project using any of them because in truth, I can't efficiently use them. They don't work for me. But learning and knowing what codes work at the background of all those drags and drops really makes much sense. Let them be there but users should endeavour to know what goes at the backend in case of scenarios as this on this thread. |

At development every developer should use what fits his style. But I am talking of its ban at the learning stage. One has to cross this stage before getting to the development stage. Learning webdesign with these "tools" is as lame as using a vehicle with Automatic Transmission in a driving school. |

Better watch it before people that depend on it will swear for you o. You think it's all that have the time to start learning around the HTML syntax. |

@Mobinga LMAO! LWKMD!! @all If I were to teach someone how to code, I would teach them using notepad. Why? They need to know what is going on under the hood, before going on to something more "advanced". If I am not mistaken, a thread from 2 days ago or so has highlighted this very issue of cut-and-join programming. It reminds me of when I took a class in typing. The teacher told us we had a choice of her turning on or off the backspace key, her point being that we should learn how to type first and then correct later as computers, unlike typewriters gave us the ability to make corrections with ease. for those who chose to have backspace turned on (this was the final exam and was 50% of the grade), if you hit the backspace key, the computer would know and deduct 10 points each time you did so. Which option did I choose? Your guess is as good as mine. |

E duro na, i use frontpage too. But then, i also use Notepad++ and even the common notepad. It depends on which one is faster depending on the task at hand. |

galatico:This is the point, you are stuck on a html anchor tag!! Learn how to code and you wont be stock by the <a> b1tch, you will start getting stuck by the nested for and while loop b1tches and you will conquer them and earn more satisfaction. There is NO easy way and there is NO hard way. . . there's just one way and its easiness or hardness is a function of your determination. That's by the way . . . if you can explain what further problems you are facing then a solution can be proffered. |
