Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have all ranked within the top 20 performing clubs in global football this season, according to a supercomputer. It comes after a whirlwind year for all three clubs.

The Blues may be disappointed with how their season ended, having started so brightly in the Premier League. However, they dropped off the pace slightly and had to settle for third, with qualification for next year’s Champions League.

They will be joined in the tournament by Tottenham, who made a late charge for a top-four finish under Antonio Conte. The Italian worked his magic and against all the odds, secured fourth place.

Nope the rankings are based on offensive and defensive.
Brighton had 11 clean sheets with only 44 goals against them in premier league, ranking 6th in premier league defensive record.

From the chart above, you can see Bayern had a poor defensive record but by far better offensive than Chelsea. So when you do the SPI analysis with those figures, you would understand why Bayern is above Chelsea in ranking
