On Monday 6th June 2022, a protest by students of the Federal Polytechnic Offa that would have turned into a community disturbance was well managed by the Olofa of Offa-HRM Oba Mufutau Muhammed Gbadamosi Ajagungbade I Esuwoye II.

The students in large numbers besieged the Olofa’s Palace following the disruption of academic activities which led to the damage of one of the Principal officers’ vehicles inside the Institution. The students presented among other issues; the deplorable state of the School Hostels, lack of basic amenities, waiver of carryover, and allowing debtors of school fees to write exams (but withheld results until after payment).
